Courage...

Hey Everyone!
 
It has been sometime since we last posted about our meetings. Better late than never J
 
On Jan 21, we had Johnny and Anthony collaborating to present the seminar on “Courage.” Courage was defined as “Putting yourself at risk for some higher purpose.” We were enlightened on the positive results of courage and the ways in which we could cultivate this virtue. At the following two IY meetings (Jan 28 & Feb 4), we watched a 1985 American classic movie, “The Breakfast Club.” The storyline follows five teenagers, each a member of a different high school clique, who spend a Saturday in detention together and come to realize that they are all more than their respective stereotypes, while facing a strict disciplinarian.
 
Our next meeting: 10am Sat, Feb 11 at Our Lady of Loretto Church. Please note that we will have Marianne Sheridan, the director of youth, young adults & campus ministry in the diocese of Rockville center visiting us to present the Midnight Run project. Hence please make a special effort to be present at this Saturdays meeting.
