Last Wednesday our kids did their own skits. We had discussion about how to understand and help the other persons who are in difficulties. And, last Monday, we had trip to the Bronx Zoo. We enjoyed seeing the animals and the nature. Also, we shared our friendship with one another.
What is true love? Our teens had a great discussion on unconditional love. True love, we concluded, is self-sacrificial, always placing the needs of the others before one's own needs. We reflected on the example that Christ gave us and how we can always love more each day. We also had an amazing bowling trip on President's Day!
Idente Youth members in Brentwood, Long Island (pictured above), volunteered at St. Luke's Bible Camp from Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 7, where over 120 kids from pre-k to 6th grade engaged in various activities including sports and arts and crafts. There were over 80 teens in middle and high school who volunteered. Pictured below are just some of our Idente Youth members who assisted and a group photo of the teen volunteers. We hope to see new members from the camp at this Wednesday's meeting!
