We had a dynamically engaging (couldn’t find a better way of describing J) meeting at the group. The topic of our discussion was “Sound Health.” The obvious question, “What is that?” It means, ways in which sound can improve health. Our presenter Nathalie played us a video by Julian Treasure. Through Julian’s talk we learnt about headphone abuse and the health issues associated with it. Namely "schizophonia," it is a dislocation between what you see and what you hear; compression; and deafness. Also we understood, the eight ways sound can improve health: ultrasound, lithotripsy, sound healing, good music, listen consciously, create sound, learn to sing & play instrument, and protect your ears.
To practice what was preached, we went outdoors to listen to nature and plant seeds in small cups.

Thank you Nathalie for thinking about our health (“Sound Health”).
Our next meeting: 10:00am Sat, Apr 15 at Our Lady of Loretto Church. Please note that we celebrate Easter next Saturday, hence we request that you bring some snacks (& drinks) to share with the group. Also, we will end the meeting at 12:30pm.
Have a blessed Holy Week!
