The Faces Behind Idente Youth US

Marek Wasilewski, National President
An Idente Missionary, Marek has been an Idente Youth Professor since 2001 and National President of IY in US since 2006. Together with other IY professors, he conducts the weekly meetings at Morris Park Ave and Zerega Ave (Santa Maria Church) in the Bronx.

He has obtained a Master of Philosophy in Philosophy in 2009 and is currently preparing his doctoral dissertation in the same field. In addition, he studies theology at St. Joseph's seminary.

Professionally, he taught philosophy at St. Francis College and Brooklyn College, CUNY. He is also a Director of Religious Education at Santa Maria Roman Catholic Church in the Bronx.

Yerania Galvez, National Vice-President
An Idente Missionary, Yerania has been an Idente Youth Professor since 2008 and the National Vice-President of IY in US since 2012. In cooperation with other IY professors, she conducts weekly meetings of IY Kids on Morris Park, Bronx, and IY Kids, Tweens Teens on Zerega Avenue, also in the Bronx.

She obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology in 2002 and a Master’s of Science in Teaching in 2005, both from Fordham University.

Yerania has been a teacher in the Bronx since 2003 and is currently a public elementary school teacher in the Gifted and Talented Program of the New York City Board of Education. She is also a volunteer catechist at Santa Maria Roman Catholic Church in the Bronx.

Kristallynn Leonard, IY Professor
Kristallynn has been an IY Professor since 2008. Together with the other IY professors, she is responsible for IY on Morris Park in the Bronx. She is also an active member of IY's World Youth Parliament.

She has obtained a Bachelor's of Arts in English Language Arts and is currently an assistant teacher of Special Education with the NYC Board of Education in the Bronx.

She is also a volunteer catechist (religious education teacher), director of Altar Servers, and a member of the Parish council of Our Lady of Solace-St. Dominic Roman Catholic Parish in the Bronx.

María Gabriela Bolaños, WYP Coordinator
Gabriela has beein one of the coordinators of the WYP in the USA since 2009.  She was a youth leader in Ecuador for about 5 years with the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

She is currently a manager at a New York based  Jewelry Manufacturer  and a student of Early Childhood Education at the UTPL, a university administered by the Idente Missionaries.
