Last Wednesday our kids played some games about trusting one another which was guided by our friend Eduardo. Also, our Kids were so excited to discuss about the virtue of trusting one another. We also watched a short clip of the Parable Prodigal son from the Bible. We genuinely believe that a small seed of trust is enough to grow great love between two people. Last Sunday our Idente Youth in the Bronx had a very successful bake sale for our Idente Youth summer camp! We thank all of our Idente Youth members and their families for their donations of baked goods. We also thank each of our parishioners for their generous donations. All the proceeds raised will go toward our youth group and summer camp. Thanks to your generous donations, many teens and kids will enjoy a great summer camp. Stay tuned for photos of our camp in July! Thanks again! God bless you. The summer Camp is going to start on July 12 and finishes on July 16.. Thank you so much!!!Last Wednesday our Idente Youth teens in the Bronx discussed the unfortunate phenomena that some people do not take God or their faith seriously. They may for example, take the name of God in vain; by saying “Oh my God”, or use the expression, “I swear to God” to only superficially make people believe in their words. We found out that these happen because of ignorance about who God actually is. For this reason, we took some time to share our questions about God, including the questions other people have or that we sometimes have doubts about. We hope that we continue to strengthen our belief and faith in God and that you can join us for our next teens' meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm at St. Dominic's Church. Hey Friends, Last Wednesday our Idente Youth teens in the Bronx discussed the benefits of studying. While sometimes we feel that studying in school is difficult and tiring, we later tend to see how important it was to study. We begin to see that studying improves our knowledge, our personality and even our faith. The teens learned that we have to give our best when we study and this means that we avoid wasting our time. Many things can distract us, so we have to ask God to help us stay focused. Hope you can join us for our next teens' meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm at St. Dominic's Church. For more information, please call us at (347) 948-3122 or check out our website:www.identeyouth.us. Thanks! Our Idente Youth, in the Bronx, had an interesting discussion about relationship with others. We realize that, many times, we have narrow standards on who should be our friends. Our treatment with others should not depend on their physical beauty, skills, reaction and attitudes, etc., but depend on their human dignity as we would be happy to be loved as we are as children of God. While being open-hearted and merciful to everyone, however, we also learnt that we have to avoid friendship that is harmful to our relationship with God. (5/11/2016) Hope you can join us for our next teens' meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm at St. Dominic's Church! For more information, please call us at (347) 948-3122 or check out our website:www.identeyouth.us. Phones are an amazing tool for us to use, but they can sometimes be a big distraction. Our Idente Youth teens had an amazing discussion on the importance of limiting the time we spend on our phones. The teens discussed how easy it is to become addicted to our phones, especially when we're bored. Instead of spending hours on Facebook, Kik, Instagram, and games, our teens concluded that we need to spend more face-to-face time with the people around us, especially our family and friends. God is always inspiring us to help and encourage others, so we have to be ready to give up the things we love, to bring joy to others. Join us next Wednesday at 6:00pm for our next teens' meeting at St. Dominic's! (5/4/2016)
Last Wednesday our Idente Youth, in the Bronx, prepared for 2016 Family Confirmation Celebration. Our Idente Youth organized this event to welcome and congratulate those who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last Saturday. We divided ourselves into three groups. One group took charge of promotion of Idente Youth, another group decoration and the other group games and dynamics during the celebration. We were happy to celebrate the blessings of our friends. Hope you can join us for our next teens' meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm at St. Dominic's Church!

(4/27/2016) Last Wednesday, our Idente Youth teens tried to find out what is a real purpose of our life.. We started talking about what kind of jobs we want to have in the future. Then, we realized a purpose of life is more than to find our jobs but is to serving God and His people in need everyday. We sincerely shared what to better our lives to fulfill this purpose. We hope you can join us for our next teens' meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm at St. Dominic's Church. Last Wednesday, our Idente Youth teens were reminded that God, our Father, created each of us with a purpose in life, just as a worker or an artist creates with a purpose. We realized that our purpose in life is to first love God and the people around us. In small groups, we shared examples of how we're living according to our purpose as well as the times that we have fallen short of living our purpose. Our sharing was filled with joy as we encouraged one another to live for our Heavenly Father. We hope you can join us for our next teens' meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm at St. Dominic's Church. Last Wednesday our Idente Youth talked about some of the main concerns of people in our society. We wrote letters to help people with challenges such as loneliness, depression, family problems and bullying. The teens then exchanged letters and found out possible solutions for some of these problems. Hope you can join us for our next teens' meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm at St. Dominic's Church.
